Accessibility Statement
Cleaver Dermatology & Aesthetics is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including patients who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and voice recognition software. We believe access to dermatologic care starts with access to information about that care.
Our conformance goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act for effective digital communication. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means most content meets the standard while some portions are still being improved. Accessibility is not a one-time project for us; we review and improve this site on an ongoing basis.
What we have done
This website was built with accessibility as a requirement, not an afterthought. Measures we have taken include semantic page structure and landmarks for screen reader navigation, text alternatives for meaningful images, full keyboard operability including a skip-to-content link, visible focus indicators, color choices tested for contrast, support for browser zoom and text resizing, and captions for our forms and interactive elements. We test the site with automated accessibility tools and manual keyboard and screen reader checks, and we re-test when new content or features are added.
Accessibility tools on this site
Every page includes a free accessibility toolbar. Open it with the round button in the lower-left corner of your screen, or press Alt + A [Option + A (the ⌥ key) on Mac] on your keyboard.
The toolbar lets you adjust the site to your needs: larger text, increased line height and letter spacing, a dyslexia-friendly font, high-contrast and dark color modes, grayscale and reduced saturation, highlighted links and headings, a large cursor, a reading guide and reading mask, paused animations, hidden images, muted media, enlarged buttons, and a read-aloud option. One-click profiles combine these settings for common needs, including low vision, seizure safety, ADHD, and dyslexia.
Your choices are saved only in your own browser. Nothing you select is tracked, stored by us, or shared with anyone.
Compatibility
This website is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox, on desktop and mobile devices, and with common screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack. The site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA for accessibility support.
Known limitations
Some parts of our online experience are provided by third-party services, including our patient portal, online scheduling, embedded maps, and video content. These services may not fully meet the same accessibility standard, and we share accessibility feedback with those vendors. Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible; we will provide the information they contain in an accessible format on request.
